New construction of two buildings totaling 29,790 s.f. to be used as office space and a maintenance facility – a single-story administration building and a tilt wall two-story Public Works Employee Building. The site for the project was originally an old land fill with a multitude of underground debris and issues, including arsenic and many hazardous garbage materials (tires, carpet, rubber). We worked hand in hand with the design team to follow the protocol of Broward Environmental Authority, Department of Planning and Environmental Protection (DPEP). We carefully followed the Contamination Assessment Plan per DPEP which included a very detailed Soil Management Plan to bring the soil to acceptable levels of meeting regulatory criteria. CBS and site package consisted of 20 acres.
“We worked through this very difficult project and now have two very functional buildings that put a twenty acre former landfill site to productive use. An excellent example of Recycling in its finest form.”
