Description: Construction of a new chapel and youth center as well as 19 new parking spaces for this 1950s synagogue originally designed by architect Percival Goodman. The new plan retains the existing sanctuary and squares it off in harmony with a new school facade. A new "welcome center" for coffee, discussion, and lounging "floats" over an entry pond. Outside, the rear courtyard is elevated to overlooks the adjoining canal, and the landscape has been redesigned. |
