KAUFMAN LYNN, INC. GENERAL CONTRACTORS AWARDED
CITY OF BOCA RATON POLICE AND FIRE TRAINING FACILITY CONTRACT
 BOCA RATON, FL – Kaufman Lynn General Contractors was awarded a $9.0 million contract for the construction of the Boca Raton Police and Fire Training Facility, a 110,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. The project includes renovation to the former Sony Manufacturing Headquarters, including the removal and replacement of the roof and complete interior renovation. The shell of the building was hardened into a Category 5 Hurricane Shelter. The facility will feature classroom/training rooms, an auditorium, gymnasium, and Police, Fire, and Life Safety administrative offices. This project is the City of Boca Raton’s first Management at Risk process.
Design services are being provided by Pierce, Goodwin Alexander & Linville (PGAL), a full service architectural firm located in Boca Raton.
